《全民新聞台》［港聞］大嶼山以東海面船隻工業意外一工人頭部被木條擊中

下午4時55分，大嶼山以東於青衣之間海面半山石位置，碇泊處一艘貨船上發生工業意外。船上一名姓吳(57歲)工人吊運木板期間，多塊約2呎半乘2呎半的木板懷疑鬆脫掉落，姓吳工人被一條木條擊中頭部，工人倒地流血，當場失去知覺。飛行服務隊人員接報到場，以直升機將傷者送院救治。傷者吊起送往東區醫院搶救後不治。詳細事故原因暫時未明，需待進一步調查。

An industrial accident occurred on a cargo ship anchored off the mid-levels of the sea between Tseung Kwan O and Tsing Yi in the eastern part of Lantau Island at around 4:55 pm yesterday. The incident took place when a worker surnamed Ng (57 years old) was lifting wooden boards on the ship. Several boards measuring about 2.5 feet by 2.5 feet were suspected to have come loose and fallen, hitting Ng on the head. He fell to the ground and lost consciousness due to severe bleeding.

The Flying Service team was alerted and arrived on the scene, airlifting the injured worker to the hospital for treatment. However, Ng was pronounced dead after being sent to the Eastern Hospital for emergency treatment. The detailed cause of the accident is currently unknown and further investigation is required to determine the cause of the incident.
