《全民新聞台》［致命交通意外］沙田泥頭車撞途人一名中年婦人送院不治

晚上8時10分，沙田排頭街發生一宗致命交通意外，上址排頭村對出，一輛泥頭車於行駛中撞倒一名手持行李箱的71歲女婦人，傷者頭部及腳部重傷倒地，泥頭車撞到婦人後未有察覺，駛前100米後被途人截停。

有途人幫忙報警，救護員到場迅即將傷者送往威爾斯親王醫院急救，可惜搶救後於8時32分證實死亡。警方封鎖現場，對事件進行調查，而61歲司機並無受傷，警方以涉嫌「危險駕駛導致他人死亡」拘捕泥頭車司機，現正扣留調查。案件交由新界南總區交通部特別調查隊跟進。

At 8:10 pm, a fatal traffic accident occurred on Pai Tau Street in Shatin. The incident took place outside Pai Tau Village, where a mud truck collided with a woman carrying a suitcase while crossing the road. The victim suffered serious injuries. The driver of the mud truck did not notice the woman and drove 100 meters before being stopped by passersby.

Paramedics quickly transported the injured woman to Prince of Wales Hospital for emergency treatment. However, she was pronounced dead after resuscitation attempts failed. The police have cordoned off the area and are investigating the incident. The driver of the mud truck was arrested on suspicion of "Causing death by dangerous driving." The driver did not sustain any injuries.
